Corpus Christi is a voluntary Aided Roman Catholic Primary School for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 11 years. There is also a Nursery Class for which children are eligible on a part time basis after their third birthday. The school lies within the Archdiocese of Southwark and in the pastoral area of South West London.
History of the School
The school was opened in 1968 under the Headship of Mr Gerald O’Brien until his death in 1978. He was succeeded by Mr Chris Curtis who retired in 1996 who was subsequently succeeded by Mrs Patricia Davis until her retirement in October 2005.
Mr Cairns was Acting Headteacher from October 2005 until July 2007 and the school welcomed Mrs Vanessa Vaughan as the Headteacher in September 2007.
Parishes
The school lies within the parish of St. Joseph's, New Malden and also serves St Pius X parish of Norbiton. Some parts of Kingston, Motspur Park, Raynes Park and Worcester Park are close enough for Catholic children to attend the school.
