Dear Parents,

At our school, we pride ourselves on providing a rich, vibrant, and nurturing environment for your children. However, as I am sure you have seen in the news, school budgets across the country are under immense pressure. Our finances are incredibly tight, and we are working harder than ever to ensure that these rising costs do not impact the quality of education and the extracurricular experiences we offer.

Many of you may remember supporting us in the past through what was known as the Governors Fund, often via an annual cheque or cash payment. To make things simpler for both parents and our small administrative team, we are moving this process over to a monthly Direct Debit system.

We are asking if you would consider setting up a monthly donation per child to the Governors Fund.

We are acutely aware that the "cost of living" remains a challenge for many families, and we want to be clear: there is absolutely no obligation to contribute. We only ask that you give if you feel you are in a position to do so.

Whether it is the price of a cup of coffee or a slightly larger amount, every penny stays within the school. These funds are vital for:

• Purchasing playground equipment and classroom resources.
• Investing in new technology for our classrooms.
• School’s contribution to work such as, replacing our boilers, repairs to the drainage throughout the school and ensuring fire safety protection is in place.
• Essential maintenance and improvement of our buildings and facilities which the Governors are responsible for.

If you are a UK taxpayer, we can also claim Gift Aid on your donations. This is a fantastic way to boost your contribution at no extra cost to you; for every £1 you donate, the school receives an extra 25p from the government. Over the course of a year, this makes a significant difference to our bottom line.
