At Corpus Christi we are aware that children have access to various devices that are connected to the internet from a young age. This means that ensuring the children have a strong understanding of how to stay safe online has never been more important.

Online safety is the first Computing topic in every year; children are encouraged to share and discuss their experiences online. Children are made aware of our E-safety rules through our AUP (Acceptable Usage Policies) at the start of every year, which directs discussions and ensures children are aware of our expectations for the use of computers and the internet, including social media, search engines and apps. We do not allow a ‘culture of blame’ to be created, where the children are afraid to share their experiences, but instead encourage dialogue that helps adults and peers be fully aware of how our children are using the internet.
