Computing and Online Safety
At Corpus Christi we are aware that children have access to various devices that are connected to the internet from a young age. This means that ensuring the children have a strong understanding of how to stay safe online has never been more important.
Online safety is the first Computing topic in every year; children are encouraged to share and discuss their experiences online. Children are made aware of our E-safety rules through our AUP (Acceptable Usage Policies) at the start of every year, which directs discussions and ensures children are aware of our expectations for the use of computers and the internet, including social media, search engines and apps. You will find these documents below.
We do not allow a ‘culture of blame’ to be created, where the children are afraid to share their experiences, but instead encourage dialogue that helps adults and peers be fully aware of how our children are using the internet.
If you have a concern about any online activity, the designated safeguarding leads can be contacted via the school telephone number 020 8942 2645 (8am - 5.00pm) or via the school email email@example.com
Should your concern be out of school hours or during school holiday times please call The Single Point of Access (SPA) which is open between 8am - 6pm Monday through to Friday on 0208 547 5008
