Junior Leadership Team
Junior Leadership Team
At Corpus Christi, our pupils are given opportunities to become leaders and have a voice in developing our school for the benefit of our whole community. Our Year 6 pupils have a crucial role in our Junior Leadership Team and work closely alongside our School Council to introduce whole school initiatives.
School Houses
All children at Corpus Christi are organised into 5 houses. Our School Council led an initiative to re-name our houses to people the children felt reflected our school values. The 6 C’s:
Children have the opportunity to represent their houses in many different ways. Various different house competitions occur throughout the year, alongside sporting events such as Sports Day and regular inter-house competitions in PE lessons. Our Sports Leaders also play an integral role in the organisation of these events. Children work towards achieving House Points each week and the winning house is celebrated in assemblies on a weekly basis. We encourage pupils to nurture a degree of healthy competition and in addition acquire a sense of belonging and accountability across the school.
School Council
Each year, pupils vote for a class representative for the School Council. Weekly meetings are held to discuss areas for school improvement and fundraising opportunities. Our School Council play a vital role in helping teachers with whole school initiatives – such as recently judging our World Book Day book corner competition!
